Dr. Michael Verber
DMD, FICOI at Verber Family Dentistry and CEO/President of the Verber Dental Group
Dr. Michael Verber currently serves as the CEO & President of the Verber Dental Group, focusing on the implementation of high quality comprehensive dentistry into a large multi-location, multi-specialty group practice. His passion for dentistry and design is expressed through his work at the Verber Advanced Dental Institute where he focuses on complex cosmetic, implant, and TMJ cases while spending time teaching continuing education for dental professionals.
A more recent endeavor for Michael includes coaching a couple of elementary school basketball teams where he stresses the “fun”damentals with equal parts of skill development, hula hooping, and giggling. In his spare time, Michael loves goofing off with his wife and two young daughters, relaxing at the beach, and making family videos. A dedicated family man, he once survived for 4 hours in an American Girl Doll Store.
Michael has committed himself to excellence in cosmetic dentistry and implantology, a passion of his since he began dental implant research in 1996 as a college undergraduate. After graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2003, Michael began his career working under the mentorship of his father in private practice. He has always been driven to explore ways that new technologies can work with timeless principals. He is known to combine creative solutions with systematic approaches in treatment planning for predictable results. His passion for dentistry comes from working within a team environment with a group of amazing colleagues.
In 2011, he became a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Shortly thereafter, Michael studied Complete Dentistry and graduated as a scholar from the Dawson Academy. Founded by Dr. Peter Dawson, the Academy trains clinicians in the comprehensive treatment of the masticatory system and the delivery of complete dentistry. Seeing a need for more complete care dentistry in his community, Michael expanded his practice and built the Verber Advanced Dental Institute to study and treat complex occlusal, TMD, and cosmetic cases. His accomplishments were recognized in 2016 when he appeared in the Incisal Edge magazine as one of the nation’s top 40 dentists under the age of 40. Michael was recently featured again by Incisal Edge representing the “Entrepreneurial Dentist” on the cover of their “32 Most Influential People in Dentistry” issue.
Michael is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Susquehanna Valley Implant Study Club. He also founded the Central PA Dawson Academy Study Club.
Community service is important to Michael. He actively serves the community through his practice and as an individual. For over a decade he volunteered his time coaching all levels of basketball for Cumberland Valley High School and the Cumberland Valley Youth Basketball Association, where he currently is a member of the Board. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Cumberland Valley Eagle Foundation, and the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. His dental outreach efforts have taken him as far as the remote villages of southwestern Haiti. Most of all, he takes special pride in playing Tooth Fairy Ted in an ensemble cast that provides oral health education at local elementary schools.

Built on a unique doctor owned partnership model, the organization is comprised of nine distinct practices including Verber Family Dentistry, Verber Advanced Dental Institute, Rother Dental, Fox Dental, Fullem Periodontics & Dental Implants, Capozzi Dental, Noll Family Dentistry, Alfano Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Dental Implant Center of PA. The Verber Dental Plan and Verber Dental Lab are also managed under the organizational umbrella. The group has grown to be the largest provider of dental care in the Central Pennsylvania region. The partners’ vision to develop a multi-specialty dental health care system continues with the current development of a dental specialty center and dental campus that will house an interdisciplinary team of dental specialists.

Verber Dental has earned a reputation for providing compassionate care with attention to detail. For a decade, the group has been recognized in consecutive years as Harrisburg Magazine’s “Simply The Best” dentist, The Carlisle Sentinel’s “Best of Cumberland County”, Susquehanna Style Magazine’s “Best of Harrisburg”, and the Central Penn Parent Magazine’s “Family Favorite”.
Dr. Michael Verber has always been highly engaged in continuing education. In addition to being a lifelong student, he enjoys mentoring his younger colleagues at Verber Dental as well as teaching outside the group. He first began lecturing for Zimmer Dental on implantology. His interest in dental implants continues as he now serves as a Key Opinion Leader and speaker for Implant Direct, one of the world’s premier manufacturers for dental implants.
While a student at the Dawson Academy, Michael became inspired by the faculty and the Concept of Complete Dentistry. His involvement with the Academy increased as he became the founding Director of the Dawson Academy Study Club program, where he worked side by side with Dr. John Cranham to bring the Dr. Pete Dawson’s principles to doorsteps across the globe. He currently is a member of the Dawson Academy Faculty.
More locally, Michael has served as the continuing education director for the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. He also enjoys fostering a cooperative spirit among dentists who seek to share ideas and expertise through the Verber Advanced Dental Institute, which has served as the home of multiple study clubs, including the Central Pennsylvania Dawson Academy Study Club.
He spends time outside of the office speaking and teaching at educational seminars for practicing dentists, dental students and residents, medical professionals, and business people. Some of his topics of interest include dental implantology, treatment planning, occlusion, TMD, full mouth rehabilitation, case presentation, practice management, leadership, business development, and the future of dentistry.
In addition to lecturing, he enjoys writing, not only for the profession but also the public. His articles have been featured in publications such as the Pennsylvania Dental Journal, The Patriot News, Penn Live, Blue Mountain Living, and Harrisburg Magazine. Most recently he has had a number of pieces published in Inside Dentistry.
