About Dr. Hanner

Verber Family Dentistry has an exceptional asset in Dr. Katelyn Hanner. She is a native of the Harrisburg area, where she was an outstanding student and athlete at Trinity High School. She proved her academic proficiency as a member of the National Honor Society, while her athletic skills on the basketball court led her to achieve 1000 point score status, as well as positions on the All-Sentinel Team, Patriot News Big 15 Team, and PIAA All-State First Team.

Education

As Dr. Hanner finished high school and moved into her college years, her outstanding achievements continued to grow. While studying at St. Bonaventure University, she pursued her passion for basketball at the collegiate level. Dr. Hanner played on the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team, was recognized as the Atlantic 10 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and was an ESPN Magazine Academic All American finalist.

After graduating as valedictorian of St. Bonaventure University with Summa Cum Laude honors, Dr. Hanner obtained her dental degree at Temple Dental School. Even after graduation, Dr. Hanner’s desire to learn has not faded. She is passionate about continuing her education and travels to attend CE courses both locally and nationally. She has a special focus in implant dentistry and is an active member of the Dawson Study Club, Academy of General Dentistry, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Personal

Outside the world of dentistry, Dr. Hanner loves to be active and enjoy the great outdoors. She spends her free time playing various sports, biking, hiking, and testing her skills at new activities with her husband Nate, son Weston, daughter Nora, and dogs Belle & Rudy!
